UMD’s Chapter:

3) Attend at least 4 ASME events each semester.​
Congratulations, you are officially an ASME member!

National membership:

Although a national membership is not required to attend events, it is very helpful for professional development and networking. With a national membership also comes various professional development tools, networking opportunities, and great resume builders! You can see more detailed information about student discounts, scholarship opportunities through ASME, and technical resources.

Registration is FREE for freshmen and $25 for undergraduates. 		          

 

 

ASME Lounge and Points

One of the coolest perks of our organization is the ASME Lounge located in Glenn L. Martin Hall Room 1107. Qualifying ASME chapter members get swipe access to the lounge and all of its amenities, including:

  • White boards
  • Sofas
  • Workspaces
  • Microwave
  • Refrigerator
  • Coffee Maker
  • Toaster
  • 3D-printer
  • Immaculate Vibes

 

✨ If you want access to the lounge, come to our in-person meetings and learn how! ✨

 

PLEASE NOTE: Access to the ASME lounge is a privilege. That being said, it is our job to take care of the lounge and make sure it stays clean. Be sure to throw out any trash and move things back to their initial position if you decide to rearrange furniture.
